Under Spiritual Attack
The Devil’s Plan vs God’s Plan
An evening of powerful testimonies, biblical teaching, spiritual warfare strategies and the launch of Danielle Wong’s debut book, Under Spiritual Attack.
This special Woman of Faith event explored one of Christianity’s most challenging questions: Why does God allow the enemy to attack?
Drawing from the biblical account of Job and the extraordinary experiences shared in her book, Danielle explored The Job Experience and The Job Response — examining not only the trials believers face, but how their response to suffering can strengthen their faith.
Through the powerful illustration of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, Danielle shared how God can bring restoration and beauty from brokenness, turning what was intended for destruction into a testimony of His power.
The evening featured deeply personal testimonies from Danielle and her husband, Jermaine Wong. Jermaine spoke about choosing faith during the most devastating period of his life, following the tragic murder of their son, Keelen. Together, they also recounted Danielle's terrifying spiritual attack and the extraordinary 24 hours they spent in A&E, an experience documented in her book.
The evening also featured Nicole Mathieu-Marius, Prayer Strategist, who was interviewed about practical strategies for spiritual protection, the importance of intercessory prayer, covering our families in prayer, recognising spiritual attacks and understanding how fear can affect our prayers.
Danielle explored the spiritual weapons available to believers, particularly prayer, praise and the power of God's Word, with a special musical contribution from Georgina Benjamin, who ministered through the song Praise Him.
The evening concluded by exploring God's greater purpose through suffering, drawing on 1 Peter 1:6–9 and the refining of faith through trials. The message was reinforced through Genesis 50:20 — what the enemy intends for evil, God can use for good — and the victorious promise of Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”
More than a book launch, Under Spiritual Attack was an evening of honest testimony, practical spiritual teaching, encouragement and hope, reminding believers that even in life's darkest battles, God remains in control.
The event concluded with an opportunity for guests to ask questions, meet the author and have their copies of Under Spiritual Attack personally signed.
